Housing Starts Down

Prince George, B.C. – Canada Mortgage and Housing has released the housing start numbers for November, and Prince George continues to see a slip.
The number of single detached homes started in Prince George last month was 7, down from 9 started in the same month a year ago. There were no multiple family units started in November 2011, compared to 8 starts in the same month a year ago.
The year to date numbers are showing a 27% decrease with 155 starts so far this year, compared to 202 during the first eleven months of last year.
By comparison, the year to date starts for Vancouver saw a 23.4% increase, Abbotsford was up 8%. Chilliwack saw the greatest year to date drop, down by nearly 51%.

I guess thats why the good professor is helping boom town Kitimat, not much work here.
Am still waiting fer the big earthquake in the Lower Mainland. That oughta get our numbers up.
