That’s one way to keep Brian quiet. Just don’t appoint him to any committees. Afraid he might upset a few app;e carts? He polled 2nd for councillors but what do the people know.
Pretty fast to appoint the more goodies for business committee but not so fast with the core review. I wonder why.
Do I see a group of 21 people going to another part of the world to check out some obscure little town that could be compared to Prince George?? Don’t do that Shari.
Perhaps skakuns omission has more to do with his overall level of ability to provide any meaningful insight rather than his ability to garner votes.
So how does one get on this committee? Doesn’t the city usually invite applications to sit on committees and Council votes as a whole on those applications. Not this time. It appears the only qualifier was you had to be a Green supporter in the last election. This appears to be more about rewarding special interest groups than actually providing advice to Council. Nice open and accountable government.
Note to Mayor; Brian has the support of the people, maybe not the business people, but the average voter, so keep him happy!
I want to know why she had this committee picked out already. Why didn’t the city put out a call for applications to this committee? Is the mayor allowed to do this without any input from the public?
I am guessing this committee was picked months and months ago. Ms. Green you are sure starting off on the wrong foot. Everything you have done so far smells of backroom deals. PeeEwww!
Back room deals?????????????
Sure!!!!!!!!!
of course back room deals..lets get real.. look at the list of members and the connections..not rocket science guys “just a bunch of folks she knows”… that pay her way to election and expect her to pay back..look at the list and and the players that are connected to haldi road treatment. Quite a list of “folks” who are set to benefit. Now this is just one persons opinion :)
