Get Ready To Toss Those Teddies

Prince George, B.C. –  It has become one of the most popular nights during the Prince George Cougars’ season – the annual Teddy Bear Toque Toss goes this evening at CN Centre during the Cats’ game against the Vancouver Giants.

To make the game even more entertaining, it’s also Ugly Christmas Sweater night – fans are being encouraged to wear their ugliest (or most endearing) holiday sweater for the change to win some great prizes.

"Our annual Teddy Bear Toque Toss is a great way to celebrate the Christmas season with family and friends," says Cougars Vice-President, Brandi Brodsky.  "And (it) gives our fans another opportunity to brighten the holidays for those in need."

The first goal of the game will trigger a flurry of fluffy critters onto the ice.  Stuffed dogs provided by Husky and Mohawk and teddy bears provided by Shaw will be available for purshace by cash donation in the main concourse – the donations will support Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Prince George.

The teddies and toques will benefit the RCMP’s Victim Services Unit, the Salvation Army and other local organizations in need over the holidays.
