4 New Directors Added to Winter Games Host Society Board

Prince George, B.C.- The 2015 Canada Winter Games Host Society has added 4 new Directors to it’s Board of Directors:
Alison Hoskins- Controller at Integris Credit Union, Chair of the Prince George Advisory Council for Integris Credit Union, previous jack rabbit coach for the Caledonia Nordic Ski Club for 5 years, Prince George Youth Soccer Association coach for 4 years, and member of the organizing committee for the Otway Challenge- a mountain bike event and trail running series.
 
Marcel Therrien- resident of Williams Lake, British Columbia, executive at Pioneer Log Homes, experience in accounting, retail, forestry, and sales, gold medallist in volleyball at the 1979 Canada Winter Games for Team British Columbia, and appointed to the Host Society by the Province of British Columbia.
 
Tuppy Hoehn- owner of Stride and Glide Sports retail store in Prince George, UNBC Alumni, member of the National Biathlon team for 5 years, represented Canada at the 1998 Winter Olympic Games, Canada Games Alumni who participated in the 1991 Canada Winter Games, and former Board member for the Caledonia Nordic Ski Club and Northern Sports Centre.
 
Kelly Mann- President and CEO of the BC Games Society in Victoria, founding Chair of KidSport Greater Victoria, 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Ambassador, Board member of the Pacific Institute for Sport Excellence, and oversees the Olympic legacies of VolWeb and Hosting BC.
 
“We would like to thank all those in the public who took the time to express their interest in being involved on the Host Society”, said Anthony Everett, Chair of the Prince George 2015 Canada Winter Games Host Society. “As a result of the diverse set of skills and experience these additional Directors posses, our board is now poised to prepare to host the nation in 2015.”
 
Hoskins, Therrien, Hoehn, and Mann now join 13 other volunteer Directors, consisting of:
• Chair- Anthony Everett- Northern BC Tourism Association
• Derek Bates- City of Prince George
• Tracy Calogheros- The Exploration Place
• Andy Clough- Government of Canada
• Paul Flaherty- Canada Games Council
• Sue Hylland- Canada Games Council
• Jim Martin- Regional District of Fraser Fort George
• Blair Mayes- Forestry Professional
• Bryan Mix- School District 57
• Geoff Paynton- City of Williams Lake
• Brett Robinson- Canfor Pulp and Paper
• Joshua Seymour- Lheidli T’enneh First Nations
• Finlay Sinclair- Northern Health Authority
 
The Host Society operates as a governance board and is responsible for monitoring operations and finances of the 2015 Canada Winter Games.
