Prince George, B.C- The Prince George Construction Association has delivered a Christmas gift of sorts to a number of local agencies. “We want to thank you all for the work with you with those who are less fortunate in our community” said PGCA President Rosalind Thorn.
Just under $9,000 dollars was raised at the annual general meeting and Christmas get together for the Association. Attendees not only donated items, but then bid on them, knowing their dollars would go to a good cause.
This was the 13th annual fundraiser, and this year, the dollars raised have been distributed as follows:
$5,000 Senior’s Council Denture Fund
$1,200 Hospice House
$ 500 New Life Centre
$ 500 St. Vincent de Paul Society
$ 500 Salvation Army
$ 400 Healthiest Babies program
$ 250 Senior’s Tea (to provide transportation to and from the Tea)
