Prince George, B.C.- A west bound CN train has derailed at Hulatt, about 10 km east of Vanderhoof.
The derailment occurred around 6 this morning as 18 coal cars went off the tracks. There were no injuries. The train was not carrying any hazardous cargo and there has been no environmental impact.
CN Crews have responded to the site, and early reports suggest the line will be cleared by tomorrow morning.
The cause of the derailment is under investigation.

Let me guess.. there was NO harm to the environment… because 18 coal cars at approx 260,000 lbs each will just bounce along nicely.
Well, I learned something: I always thought the English name for that place was spelled “Hewlett”.
An early Christmas gift from CN.
