Merry Christmas everybody!!!

Merry Christmas everyone. I hope the people of Prince George who work in 24 7 365 job find sometime to spend it with the ones you love. Enjoy the season.

Seasons Greetings to everyone!! All the best in 2012!

I would like to wish everyone to have a safe and Merry Christmas. And a special thank you to all of you that must spend time away from family and friends. The list is long but here are a few.RCMP,nurses, doctors, gas station attendants, convenience store workers, road crews and Timmies workers.

Thank You
Dave from PG
Not brave enough to post last name I am the only one in PG :-)

Thanks to the generosity of this community, Prince George New Hope Society held a wonderful Christmas party yesterday, complete with turkey and all the trimmings and an amazine variety of baked goods and sweets. All of the women who attended received a backpack filled with presents and there were gifts for the children also. The Board and Staff of Prince George New Hope Society are so very grateful to everyone for their donations and support of this organization. Merry Christmas to all!!

All the best to everybody at home in P.G.
Stay safe this holiday season.
metalman.

To all of the idiots who insist on riding bicycles on the winter streets. Slippen and sliden in and out of traffic. May SANTA bring you a new brain. The one that you have is not in working condition…Merry Xmas..

Just to add to littlebuds list, taxi drivers/dispatch staffand tow truck drivers/dispatch staff
Merry Christmas

+1 on the bike idiots.

Giter, could not agree with you more. Have not seen one cyclist who knows what traffic laws are this winter so far. As far as joggers are concerned, don’t run in traffic, it shows yer IQ is runn’in a little on the low side. Oh and folks, when yer driving, please slow down, relaz, concentrate on your driving, leave the cell phone alone, be safe be healthy and I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas.
To our emegency services, stay safe, hope there’s no fatals, and thanks for being out there.

Wow giterdun,

For a minute there I thought maybe you were talking about me and then I realized… I LIVE IN VERNON and we have no snow…

So I’m good to go..!

Oh yeahhhhhhh…….

Oh and… Merry Christmas to all!

This is my first Christmas away from PG. Feels kind of weird with everything green at my new home in Port Moody.

Merry Christmas to all of you. May the sweets and the savories exchange flavour profiles during this festive season.

Seems the illustrious Liberal Government and Kevin Falcon are now putting out information that indicates that they will not be able to get rid of the HST by March 2013. This means that it will probably become an election issue.

However more importantly is the fact that the Government and Falcon dont seem to be taking any serious action to get rid of this tax. We all know of course that the Government collects millions of dollars everyday this tax stays in effect, and will make a pisspot full of money over Christmas.

To keep this tax in effect for three years after it was defeated in a referendum, is totally wrong. The Government has no respect for the people of BC, or for their own legislation and promises.

What do we have to do to get their attention.??? Who do they think they are??? Where is our representation on this issue. Of all the elected MLA’s not one of them has the **moxie** to stand up and say this is wrong. Are they a bunch of **yes** men and women? It certainly appears so.

Where is the press in BC on this issue. Whey are all the papers silent. Do they think that the Government is doing everything possible to get rid of the tax. Have they forgotten that the original VanderZalm referendum proposed that the Government reimburse all the tax dollars. Seems not only are they not going to reimburse this tax, they are going to stretch it out as far as possible.

What you are getting from the Liberal Government for 2011, 2012, and 2013, is increased taxes of approx $800 Million per year.

I suggest that the Liberal Government is much further in debt, and in much worse shape than we can imagine. They are doing everything in their power to collect additional revenue.

Its time for this Government to get serious about this issue, if not then I suggest that we once again take a serious look at recalling some MLA’s.

In the meantime enjoy your lump of coal from the Government.

I like the speed indicator thingy at the bottom of Ospika Blvd. I guess they put it there to try to get people to slow down before the dangerous Ospika/Ferry intersection.

It’s a good idea but I think it should also display the high score for the day. Just kidding, please drive safely.

Merry Christmas

The speed thingy is awsome!!! They should put one in every car……wait a sec! :)

Happy Holidays Everyone.

Merry Christmas to all fellow posters!

Palopu, the media is quiet on the HST front probably because they are businesses, which enjoyed the new tax. As a business owner, I would be quite happy to seeto all would be just insane. You talk about government debt; well, that would just increase it.

On a lighter note, thank you to all the organizations around the city that help people out all year round :)

Merry Christmas from Quesnel!!!!

Happy Holidays from Ottawa everyone!

It looks like we might get a white Christmas out here, but we’ll see. Winter hasn’t really arrived yet but I did get to experience a nice freezing rain storm the other day. We sure didn’t get those in PG, LOL. The other thing I’ve noticed out here is that it just feels darn cold, even compared to PG. It’s MUCH more humid here and when you combine that with the wind it’s just plain bitter.

Anyway, have a safe holiday and best wishes heading into 2012.

Have a wonderful and safe Christmas everyone. And yes, to all those who have to work that day, I hope your hours are short and joy filled. You are providing a valuable service to others.

Please, everyone, take a little extra care this season. No one needs grief at this time. Thanks.

Re: The HST. In the old days and I mean the really old days, they, (meaning whoever) used to use a phrase called, “the stroke of a pen” to change anything immediately. Seems to me that their stroke of the pen in this day and age is using much too dithering, contemplation, postponement, stalling, waiting, procrastinating, and generally casts those in government in a lesser light. I’d like to start a revolution, but I have to go to work Tuesday.

HUMBUG!!!

Best of the season to all and a fantastic new year

Harbinger, I’m still laughing, and Taxinapothole, have a great Christmas.

This year it seems that everyone I ran into while Christmas shopping were more polite and cheerful than in previous years. It was greatly appreciated and I hope it continues. Merry Christmas to everyone, stay safe and happy.

Note to the female Gordon Campbell who runs this province: I will not forget the HST being not wanted by thousands of people in a referendum and your dragging of feet to repeal it. I understand that your handlers, business, would like to keep it forever, but that is not what the masses have voted for. Oh, and I will not forget about the Cariboo Con and the BCR fiasco. Recall or election, bring it on. It would appear that would be the only thing left for this province to become democratic. Merry Christmas to all but the Liberal Government.

LOL jrold!

We haven’t forgotten the NDP legacy either! But I will still send them out a Happy Holidays as apparently “Merry Christmas” isn’t politically correct.

P.S. I don’t think people have forgotten the falsifying of documents Mr Current NDP leader did for his buddy Glen Clark.

Pylopt,
deserter but have happy season.
cheers

Sadly, the NDP will likely get in in 2013. People have forgotten the 90’s. Talk about tax increases, they’ll make the HST look like nothing.

Merry Christmas Opinion 250 staff and everyone else too!!

I witnessed a slightly challenged young man riding his bike on Queensway today, heading north and riding in the dead-centre of the road. I was behind him from 7-11 to Patricia Blvd. I like to think I saved his life; even if it was fruitless.

Here’s an official Merry Cristmas from the beautiful Okanagan city of Vernon…

Though I must admit… I miss the cool snowy PG Cristmas.

Best Wishes to all..!

Merry Christmas to all and a happy and prosperous New Year.

Luckily, with Dix at the helm British Columbia doesn’t need to worry about the NDP taking power.

And a merry Christmas to our new mayor and her merry band of boys. Thanks for your Xmas presents:
1) Yet another hike in our utility fees.
2) The formation of yet another “committee” (What, you didn’t like the business reps you already have on “Progress PG”?)
3) and yes, thanks for setting the stage for yet another “study” (core review) that will waste more of my tax dollars. Just make a decision rather than making excuses as to why you can’t live up to your election promises.

wholly michael j fox, I just realized it’s a new Christmas special in the making: “Forward to the Past”. It is a classic tale of more committees, more studies and an old boys network that pulls the strings from behind the scenes. Oh well, we might as well be entertained.

Hope every one had a Merry Christmas.

Happy Boxing Day.
