21 Year Old Charged in Connection With Mackenzie Crash

Mackenzie- A 21 year old man faces charges under the criminal code after the vehicle he was driving crossed the center line and hit a small car containing a mother and her daughter from Dawson Creek yesterday afternoon at 3.45pm. about 20 kilometres south of the Mackenzie junction.
The woman driver was taken to Prince George hospital suffering from serious, but not life threatening injuries. The other three people, her daughter and the two males in the pickup truck received treatment at the Mackenzie hospital.
The driver of the small car was trapped in the vehicle for about two and half hours while the Mackenzie fire department worked to get her out of the wreck.
The driver of the pickup faces charges in connection with speed and the alcohol. Police say both were a factor in the crash.

Now we need to charge this little creep. For months and years we endure roadside checks (as we should) but now when of the perps actually injures someone, is the chance to nail his ass to the wall. But who are we kidding? There is neither respect for human life nor justice in this country. But it is fun to bitch about it.

Thanks goodness, no one was seriously hurt or died. This should always be a wake up call to those who still drive under influence. I hope the poor victims of this terrible accident are fine.. Lock him up for years.

I agree that if he is drunk and hurt someone the consequences should be far more severe, than if he is simply stopped in a random road check.

I think the wide dragnet of road checks can often lead to severe consequences for people that maybe only had a few beers but are not impaired and have never hurt anyone, so when a guy like this comes along then this is the type they need to be making an example of….
