Fire At Meadowbrook Apt Causes Extensive Damage

Prince George,B.C. – No one was injured in the second fire in as many nights in the Prince George region. This evening the fire caused extensive smoke damage to the Meadowbrook Apt block near the intersection of 1st and Ospika.
The fire broke out in the three floor apartment block just after 8pm. tonight (Sunday ) forcing those residents in the walk up block to flee the structure.
A Prince George Fire Dept. Ssokesman says no fire fighters were injured, nor were any residents.
The cause of the blaze has yet to be determined as fire firefighters were still mopping up the blaze at 9p.m. tonight.
35 year old Ann Compton, who along with her young child, was not at home at the time of the fire breaking out, was in tears, wondering about the state of damage to her apartment "I wanted to get some insurance for my possessions on my next check" she said , but this fire, the second in a month at this apartment block happened before that next cheque came in, fighting back tears, she said, "I have lost everything”.
