Prince George, B.C. – Chase RCMP and the BC Coroner’s Service are investigating the crash of an all-terrain vehicle that killed one person and injured another.

Police say two people had been riding the ATV along the Kamloops Shuswap Road in the small community of Pritchard – between Chase and Kamloops – at approximately 7am on New Year’s Day.

Constable Mark Richardson says it appears the vehicle failed to make a left turn in the roadway and went down a steep embankment to the right.  The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, while the passenger was transported to hospital in Kamloops with non-life threatening injuries.
