Saturday, January 14, 2012 @ 3:50 AM

Prince George, B.C. – The City of Prince George is once again looking to recognize those individuals in our community who make this city such a great place to live – residents who ‘give back’ by volunteering.

"Volunteers are the heart of our community and we need your help in recognizing those that give so much of themselves for others," says Recreation Coordinator, Cheryl Livingstone-Leman.  There are four award categories:  Recreation Award of Merit, Community Service Award, Outstanding Volunteer Award of Merit, and Youth of the Year Award.

Nomination packages for the annual Volunteer Recognition Awards and Youth of the Year Award are available from the City’s website, www.princegeorge.ca

Completed packages must be received by 4:30pm, March 5th.  The individuals selected will be recognized at a Civic Appreciation Dinner.
