Truck-Train Collision Kills One In Kamloops

Kamloops RCMP say the pick-up went through the flashing arm barrier at the Singh Street crossing, hitting the train at 12:39am. Police say roads were very icy at the time of the crash.
The 19-year-old male driver and lone occupant of the vehicle was transported to Royal Inland Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. Police are not releasing the victim’s name, but it is believed he was from Williams Lake.
A traffic analyst was called out and the investigation continues.
