Burns Lake Blast Victim Transferred to Vancouver

Prince George, BC. – While the B.C. Coroner’s  Service has confirmed one body has been recovered from the debris of the Burns Lake sawmill,  (see previous story) there is still one worker missing, and several who remain in hospital.
 
One patient who was in stable condition at the University Hospital of Northern B.C. in Prince George, was transferred to VGH in Vancouver this morning. Another 3, all in stable condition, remain in hospital at UHNBC.
 
One patient, also in stable condition, remains at St. John Hospital in Vanderhoof.
 
There are just 4 patients remaining in the care of Northern Health, while 7 have been transferred to other regions:
4 to Vancouver,
2 to Edmonton and
1 to Victoria.
 
8 other patients have been released from care.
 
Northern Health will have a representative at the community meeting set for this evening in Burns Lake.
 

That meeting is set to take place at 7:00 at the Island Gospel Church on highway 35
