The way our justice system works now, just imagine if the all the “alleged” Nazi criminals slated for the Nuremberg trials all got “Promise to Appear” notices instead. Times sure have changed. We are sooooo nice.

Yes, and seemingly naive too.

I can’t believe you are comparing a war criminal to a pot grower.

War on Drugs, ergo “war Criminal”

oh sure that makes sense. nevermind all those people that were murdered by war criminals.

*facepalm*

Unfortunately, organized crime has probably laid waste to thousands of lives through the distribution and sale of illegal drugs. If Marijuana is ever legalized it would free up law enforcement all across Canada to concetrate resources on serious crime. Until then, organized crime is making a lot of money on dope. Just remember, if you use marijuana and you’re too lazy to grow a few plants for your own use, you’re buying it off the gangs empowering them to stay in business, so in my humble opinion, you’re part of the problem.

Dont go there Slim, you will have all of the dope smokers telling you they get it from harmless mom and pop operations. Funny how nobody buys off the gangs but they sure do need to grow alot of it to keep up eh?

Ha Ha, you so right, but then I’m sounding like a broken record. Just ticks me off when particular posters bellyache about crime and punishment, then go buy their weed off the man. No I’m wrong, just a bunch a wannabe’s wit dope.

The vast majority of BC grown weed goes out of the country in exchange for coke and guns. They don’t have to grow a lot to keep up to local demand.

Dragonmaster. The argument that weed is exchanged for coke and guns, might be true insofar as coke goes, however since this argument has been used for the last 10/20 years, one would think that they would now have sufficient guns to last them a lifetime.

Slim2229. You state that organized crime is making a lot of money on dope. Perhaps what you mean is that they are making a lot of money FROM DOPES.

Have a nice day.

“organized crime” does not get caught. This scenario was “unorganized”

Dragonmaster:
“one would think that they would now have sufficient guns to last them a lifetime.”

They keep misplacing their guns, therefore thay always need more.
“it’s simple mathematics”
as a t.v. character tow truck driver from Chicago always says.
Nice to see the cops keeping after the grow ops, anything to remind the organized gangs that their presence is not wanted by law abiding honest citizens, but I fear that the police efforts are not best utilized, because of our lack of a justice system.
metalman.

All this did was make the guy loose his plants and have to go to court. Why would he run away the judge isn’t going to do anything to him maybe some probation and he will grow more why even waste tax dollars in the first place. If the police are going to waste their time doing these kind of busts then lets get some judges first.
