Prince George, B.C. – The BC Federation of Labour has announced its contributing $10-thousand dollars to the United Steelworkers Burns Lake Fund for families affected by the deadly explosion and fire that levelled the Babine Lake sawmill.
In announcing the donation, President Jim Sinclair says, "Unions have a proud history of standing up for the safety of all workplaces and a prouder history of standing together in difficult times."
In addition to the initial donation, Sinclair says he expects the federation to contribute thousands more through an online appeal to union members and their families.
Anyone wishing to donate can visit the federation’s website by clicking here.

Those money grubin, left wing, socialist unions are at it again. :) Now I would like to see some money from the Chambers of Commerce being donated to Burns Lake. All that money that they are still making on the HST should be donated. NATO.
What?…we still have the HST?
Who would of thought…with the B.C.Liberals being so honest and democratic and all that!
Yes…that’s sarcasm…it’s hiding the anger.
