Prince George, B.C. – The City of Prince George advises the public that Cottonwood Island Park and the Heritage River Trails from Cameron Street Bridge to the Yellowhead Bridge will be open effective tomorrow. The park and trails were shut down for safety reasons during the recent cold snap when ice began backing up on the Nechako, sparking concerns about possible flooding.

The City of Prince George would like to remind the public to be cautious when walking in close proximity to the Nechako River.
