Airport Authority Adds Two New Faces

Wednesday, February 8, 2012 @ 3:51 AM

Prince George, BC – The Prince George Airport Authority is once again up to full throttle with the appointment of two new members to its Board of Directors…

Blair Mayes and Bob Radloff will fill vacancies left by Neil King and Mike Tkachuk, who had completed their maximum terms.  Mayes spent 30-years with Dunkley Lumber, the last 17 as General Manager, before leaving to form his own consulting company focused primarily in the forest industry.  He now serves on a variety of board, including the 2015 Canada Winter Games.

Bob Radloff is a civil engineer who spent 18-years with the City of Prince George.  He was the project manager for the Boundary Road Connector project at the airport and the Airport Authority says he brings a strong working knowledge associated with engineering and government bodies to the table.

PGAA President, John Gibson, says, "We are really looking forward to working with Blair and Bob as we continue to grow the airport."

The Board also expressed its appreciation to the outgoing members, King and Tkachuk, for their 11-years of dedicated service – they were both part of the team that negotiated transfer of the airport from the federal government.

Funny how nobody on this board has a clue about aviation. How about getting someone who has been in the industry.some one needs to start keeping this board accountable. The blank cheque book that is our tax dollars is being spent on this pipe dream of a fueling stop is not working at all but dont worry this new tank farm that no private industry was willing to back financialy because there is no light at the end of the tunnel, has the boards full support because dont worry people we are paying for it.
