Police Tight-Lipped About Bjornson Investigation

Prince George, B.C. – The RCMP is saying very little about the investigation into the death in Fort St. James of 28-year-old Fribjon Bjornson.
Bjornson was reported missing on January 21st. His pickup truck was found abandoned near Fort St. James on the 23rd of January, and then on February 2nd police in Fort St. James received a call from someone who had found human remains in a vacant house on Lower Road on the Nak’azdli reserve in the town.
The RCMP’s “E” Division Communication Services in Vancouver is handling all questions pertaining to the death of Mr. Bjornson, but they’re saying very little. Asked by Opinion 250 if police are classifying this as a homicide case, Cpl. Annie Linteau says “the only thing we’re saying right now is that it is suspicious.” She says an autopsy has been performed but no information is being released about it, including the manner in which Bjornson died. The Coroners Service won’t comment, saying all information about the case is to come from the RCMP.
The investigation into the death continues, including the search for a “motive”, as stated in an earlier RCMP release.
Comments
I’d say it is suspicious when a man not from the town finds his way to an abandoned house and his truck finds its way someplace else. It seems obvious a third party with local knowledge is involved in some sort of scenario.
