The Hart Ski Hill…for many it’s just a walk down the block

Prince George, BC –  Ask any of the dozens of kids skiing at the Hart Ski Hill yesterday and their answers were all the same – they were having a ton of fun…

It was spring skiing – warm weather and buttery snow – for those taking to the hills of the Hart Highlands Winter Club, a gem nestled along Winslow Drive.

Families and groups of kids were definitely the order of the day.  A family of five visiting from Kelowna could not get over the low cost of ‘a day at the hill’.  Lift rates for a full day are $7.50 for a child, $9.50 for students, and $11.50 for adults.

The hill is mainly volunteer-run, with ever-patient and cheerful help at the two paddle tows, and one rope tow.  For those who prefer the role of spectator, the chalet offers a concession and large windows to watch all the activity going on outside.

The hill is open 10am to 4pm on Saturday and Sunday and 6:30pm to 9:30pm Monday through Friday.  For more information, phone 250-962-8006.
