Clinton, BC – RCMP say an explosion touched off a deadly residential fire in a rural area near Clinton that claimed the lives of two men and a dog.

RCMP ‘E’ Division Media Relations Officer, Corporal Annie Linteau, says members of the local RCMP detachment were called to the scene, approximately 15-kilometres outside of the community, just before 5pm yesterday afternoon. 

Corporal Linteau says RCMP, the Fire Commissioner and BC Coroner’s Service continue to investigation the cause of the explosion.

The identities of the deceased are not being released at this time.
