Three Hour Closure Of Highway 16 East Planned Today.

Tuesday, February 14, 2012 @ 3:58 AM
Prince George, B.C. – Motorists thinking about driving east on Highway 16 to the Alberta border should take note of a 3-hour total shutdown of the highway today.

Avalanche control will be taking place in the Red Pass area, forcing the closure of Highway 16 in both directions from 16 kilometres east of the junction with Highway 5 at Tete Jaune Cache to 45 kilometres west of the B.C.-Alberta border.

The closure will last three hours, from 11 o’clock this morning until 2 this afternoon.
