Municipal Election Finance Reports Trickle In

Prince George, B.C. – The deadline for candidates in the November civic election to file their financial disclosure reports is still a month off, and the documents continue to trickle in. 
 
Two of the candidates who contested a councilor seat, Debora Munoz and Harry Ulch, have filed their papers.  
 
Munoz had total contributions and expenses of $6655.07 for her unsuccessful bid to be returned to council. Personal contributions amounted to $6625.07, Munoz spending $2517.59 of her own money. John and Shelly Major gave her campaign $800. The largest of the organizational contributions, $1607.48, came from the Health Sciences Association of BC.    Munoz spent $5955.46 on advertising through the various types of media, with $549.43 going to signs, pamphlets and flyers. Munoz ended up in tenth place with 4853 votes.

 

Harry Ulch had contributions and expenses totaling $3950.10, the majority of that, $3450, out of his pocket. Ulch spent $2886.56 on media advertising, $777.38 on signs and pamphlets.

Financial disclosure reports are yet to come from 13 council and 4 mayoral candidates.
