Prince George, B.C. – Three young offenders are in police custody in Prince George following an incident on Highway 16 west Saturday afternoon.
Staff Sergeant Pat McTiernan with North District Regional Provincial Traffic Services says several police units were out conducting a weekend traffic campaign. One officer tried to pull over a speeder in a car, but the speeder took off. McTiernan says police did not initiate a pursuit, but did set up a loop in an effort to catch the speeder. Eventually the driver lost control and the car went off the highway and into the ditch in the Greg Creek area. The three youths took off on foot, but McTiernan says “they were dressed in summer clothes and didn’t go too far. Besides, it’s not too tough to track someone in the snow.” The Staff Sergeant says the dogman was called out but the dog did not have to be deployed.
Charges are pending against the driver, who may also have his vehicle impounded. McTiernan says the two other youths will not be charged.
McTiernan says “it’s a good day when you have three in custody and nobody got hurt.”

Dumb, Dumber and dumbutt!
This isn’t a one day in jail and probation crime. Just probation. Gotta look in the Citizen want ads. I wanna be a judge. It’s a no brainer job in this town. Oops! Ignore that last sentence.
Why would a person do that? I’m baffled.
More like dumb, dumber and just plain idiot! Yeah, what a DRIVER!
You may as well let them go because of the back log in the court system their cases will be thrown out anyway. Their going to get the last laugh and the media will have long forgotten about it.
