86th Annual Kelly Cup Curling Begins Tonight
Rinks competing in this afternoon’s Men’s Bonspiel at the Prince George Golf & Curling Club
Prince George, B.C. – The 92nd Annual Men’s Bonspiel drew 29 rinks to the Prince George Golf & Curling Club this weekend…with the teams vying for the opportunity to move onto the next round, the 86th Annual Kelly Cup, which starts tonight.
Curling Coordinator, Geof Magrath, says the top four teams from the A and B events in the bonspiel will continue into the Kelly Cup. The finals are underway. The first games of the Kelly Cup start at 8pm.
Magrath says the club is hosting the annual events one month earlier than past years. He says organizers had thought it might boost participation by not interfering with spring break vacations. Unfortunately, Magrath says it didn’t pan out, with the lowest participation in quite some time.
He says there are a few visiting rinks – from Kamloops, Hudson’s Hope and Smithers. The semi-final goes at 10am tomorrow, with the final for the 86th Kelly Cup at 1pm.

So is it the 86th annual?
Or the 92nd annual?
Metalman.
Hmmmmm,I`m not sure but after 86th or 92nd, what ever it is this would kind of be tradition by now. Wouldn`t it make more sense to host it at the same time annually???
Is PGG&CC setting its self up for epic fail for some reason or it just me????
