Prince George, BC –  No street value has been given, but RCMP say a quantity of powdered and crack cocaine was seized during a raid of an apartment in Tumbler Ridge and two female suspects arrested…

Police says the apartment unit had been the subject of a number of public complaints about suspected drug trafficking and a subsequent search located the drugs, along with various paraphernalia for weighing, packaging, and distributing the drugs, and a quanity of cash.

Officers arrested an adult female and a young woman – both are facing charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purposes of Trafficking.

Tumbler Ridge Detachment Commander, Sergeant Kirk Render, says, "As a detachment, we have been very active gathering intelligence to support these types of police interventions and want the public to know that while police enforcement may sometimes appear to be slow in coming, it will happen."
