Prince George, B.C.- RCMP say the stabbing on the weekend which lead to an 18 year old undergoing treatment for life threatening injuries, was not a random attack.
In the early hours of Saturday, March 3rd , the Prince George RCMP responded to a complaint of a stabbing at an apartment building on the 2600 block of Upland Street.
Approximately 8 persons were believed to have been in the apartment when a male was stabbed. The victim managed to exit the apartment and make it to the street where RCMP members located him and EHS rushed him to the University Hospital of Northern BC.
Five males associated to the assault were quickly located and arrested with the assistance of the RCMP’s Police Dog Service.
An 18 year old male from Prince George suffered stab wounds and underwent surgery for life threatening injuries, but is expected to recover.
A young person is in custody awaiting a court appearance later today. The remaining arrested persons were released without charge.
This is not a random act. Alcohol is believed to have been a factor in this incident. The investigation is continuing.
