Williams Lake Constable Charged with Assault
Williams Lake, B.C.- A charge of assault has been approved agianst Wiliams Lake RCMP Constable Yung.
The charge stems from an incident in September of last year in which a young woman alleged she had been beaten by a constable after being arrested in connection with a possible assault. She says she was punched several times as she was in the back seat of the police cruiser.
Initially the 17 year old who was arrested, was charged with assaulting a police officer, that charge has since been dropped.
The Abbotsford Police Department conducted the investigation into the alleged assault of the young woman, and recommended a charge be laid.
The RCMP has also ordered an internal Code of Conduct investigation which will include a thorough review of the Report submitted by the Abbotsford Police.
Once the RCMP learned that the Abbotsford Police were recommending charges, the involved RCMP Officer was immediately removed from operations and placed on non-operational duties.
The court date for the officer has not yet been determined.

Hopefully jail time to show an example of disgusting behaviour. Especially towards a lady.

Foregone conclusion.
