Hundred Plus Charges, 6 Suspects, 2 Wanted

Prince George, B.C.- An additional 23 charges have been laid against a local man, bringing his total charges to 26 as a result of comprehensive investigation that began in December 2011. In addition, five other people are now facing charges.
It all started Friday December 23rd, 2011, the Prince George RCMP’s Crime Reduction Team located and arrested Jamie Hal Hammerstrom after an incident involving a stolen vehicle. In this incident Hammerstrom was identified by officers as the driver of a stolen pick-up truck that fled when attempts were made to stop him. Hammerstrom was arrested later the same day walking on Quince Street and has been in custody on the following Criminal Code charges ever since:
· Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle
· Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5000
· Flight From Police
As a result of evidence obtained during the above incident and the investigations into rural residential Break & Enters, the Prince George RCMP’s Crime Reduction Team executed a search warrant at a residence on the 2000 block of Quince Street in Prince George on Saturday January 7th, 2012.
As a result of this search, four of the eight people in the residence were arrested, eight firearms were recovered and approximately seven ounces of marihuana and trafficking materials were located. Many of the firearms were fully loaded, despite a two year old child being in the residence. Of the eight firearms, seven have now been confirmed by investigators as stolen. All four arrested persons were released on a Promise To Appear for March 7th, 2012. Police recommended several Criminal Code and Controlled Drugs and Substances Act charges.
As a result of further investigation by the Crime Reduction Team, a search warrant was executed on a residence on the 200 block of South Kelly Street on Thursday February 23rd, 2012. During this search, a .22 calibre hand gun and an improvised (homemade) explosive device (IED) were located and seized without incident. An adult female was arrested in relation to this search.
On February 28th, 2012, Crown Counsel approved 114 more charges in relation to this investigation.
Hammerstrom and Samantha Nicole Patrick, 22 years old, have been charged with:
· Illegally Possess Weapons or Device or Ammunition for Transfer x 8
· Possession of a Weapon Obtained Through an Offence x 7
· Knowingly Possess Firearms Without a License x 8
These 23 charges against Hammerstrom have been added to his additional charges stemming from his December 23, 2011 arrest.
Charges have now been approved against Cornelia Nicole Clay, 19 years old, Zachary Michael Curtis Doolittle, 20 years old, and Geofferey John Last, 26 years old. These three are each facing the following charges:
· Illegally Possess Weapons or Device or Ammunition for Transfer x 7
· Possession of a Weapon Obtained Through an Offence x 7
· Knowingly Possess Firearms Without a License x 7
· Careless use of a Firearm
Charges have also been approved against Jacqueline Lee Patrick, 24 years old, for:
· Illegally Possess Weapons or Device or Ammunition for Transfer
· Knowingly Possess Firearms Without a License
The next Court appearances are scheduled for March 14th and June 6th, 2012 in Prince George, BC.
Arrest warrants have been issued for Samantha Nicole Patrick and Geofferey John Last in relation to this investigation.

Geofferey John Last is described as:
· Caucasian male

· Brown hair
· Blue eyes
· 191 cm (6’3")
· 91 kg (200 lbs)
