A load of drywall is delivered through the second floor window of the Via Rail/IPG building
Prince George, B.C.- The renovations are underway on part of the second floor of the Initiatives Prince George/VIA Rail building on First Avenue.
According to permits issued by the City of Prince George, the renovations will cost about $341,500.00.
The changes to about half of the second floor are being made in order to create a home for a new tenant.
SNC-Lavalin, the Montreal based engineering and construction group company, is moving its office into new digs in Prince George.
The company (or its subsidiaries), already has more than dozen offices throughout B.C.
The completion date and move in date for the company are not yet known.

I love these super over inflated construction costs. if an average carpenter were allowed these jobs at an average wage of say $30 per hour, the job would cost half of that. But insurance costs. liability insurance, wcb and consutation fees plus estimate fees, permits, and assorted ways to inflate the price etc. make it so exhorbitant! What a joke it has become.
With SNC-Lavalin being in the headlines for all the wrong reasons it would seem that they would fit Prince George like a glove. They will fit in perfectly with the nudge-nudge wink-wink politics and back room deals that go on around this town. Choice of the new office location a coincidence?
I thought they already had an office off of Victoria near Cimo’s?

LOL. Uninformed opinion.
metalman.
Price includes a year’s supply of plain brown envelopes, so all in all an excellent deal ;-/
So much whining here.
Oh yes the SNC-Lavalin named in the Libyan scandal.

Welcome to Prince George! Be sure to bring your own two way mirrors and smoke generating machines.
Mind the potholes too.
