Spruce Kings Let Lead Slip To Fall 8-5 To Victorious Vees
Prince George, BC – The Prince George Spruce Kings were up 5-4 over the domineering Penticton Vees after two periods of play in front of more than 2,000 fans at the Coliseum tonight…
But the Vees came back with four unanswered goals in the third to notch their 42nd consecutive win and set a new BCHL record for points in a season: 110. The team’s 41st win on Tuesday – a 10-0 bashing of the Trail Smoke Eaters – established a record for the longest winning streak in North America. It was also their 53rd victory of the season, good for a new BCHL record, as well.
Mario Lucia scored a hat trick for Penticton tonight. Michael Colantone had a pair of goals for the Spruce Kings, while Paul de Jersey, Gerry Fitzgerald, and Myles Fitzgerald added singles.
Prince George clinched a spot in the play offs one week ago tonight with a 6-1 win over Trail and will finish in third place in the Interior Division behind Penticton and Merritt.
The Spruce Kings round out the regular season with another game against the Vees tomorrow night at the Coliseum at 7pm.

Let’s do it again tonight.
I guess we got to be louder and noiseier.
Can’t help but wonder how many people would be at the game if it weren’t for the chance to win Groc. for a year or winning a New truck ?
I-A TRUE FAN have NOT even been filling out the paper to win the chance to win either.
