Spring-Like Conditions Make For Perfect Play
Six-year-old Tristan takes advantage of outdoor ice at Civic Centre Plaza
Prince George, BC – As the clock at the Civic Centre Plaza indicates, it is time to spring forward in just 12-hours and there are signs that winter may be easing…
Six-year-old Tristan Swarts was taking ‘some really good wrist shots’ at his dad, Ted, as he took advantage of today’s mild temperature to just wear his minor hockey jersey while getting in some skating practise on the outdoor rink.
Further proof can be seen in the puddles on the streets and the water dripping from eavestroughs and the forecast for the coming week seems to indicate we’ve turned the corner on winter, with Environment Canada forecasting highs in the plus 2 and 3 degree range for the first part of the week, but up to plus 9 on Thursday and a high of 11 predicted for Friday.
Tuesday, March 20th is the official start of spring.
