NDP Leadership Hopefuls Go Head-to-Head In Final Debate

Prince George, BC – Today is the last chance for the seven leadership hopefuls in the race to lead the federal New Democratic Party to go head-to-head on the issues…

The group will face off at an All Candidates Debate entitled ‘Opportunities for young and new Canadians’ in Vancouver starting at 12noon, before New Democrats gather for the leadership convention in Toronto on March 23rd and 24th to select a replacement for Jack Layton, who succumbed to cancer last August.  Interim leader, Nycole Turmel, chose not to run.

Nathan Cullen, the four-time MP for Skeena-Bulkley Valley is in the race, along withy Niki Ashton, Paul Dewar, Thomas Mulcair, Peggy Nashy, Martin Singh, and Brian Topp.

I read that Topp was going to PG tomorrow.

Jack Layton was the sole reason the NDP got as far as it did. They will fall back down to earth in the next election. The honeymoon is over in Quebec, methinks.
