Prince George, B.C.- The Commissioner for the Murdered and Missing Women Inquiry being held in Vancouver, is taking a break.
Commissioner Wally Oppal announced this morning the inquiry will stand down until April 2nd to allow Commission Inquiry Counsel, Art Vertlieb to locate and engage experienced, reliable counsel to represent Aboriginal interests.
Last week, lawyer Robyn Gervais resigned saying she didn’t beleive First Nations voices were being heard.
Commissioner Wally Oppal says the hearings are on hold until the 2nd of April because Aboriginal interests are too important. On the 2nd of April, the inquiry will hear from the Native Liaison Society.

Well done. The aboriginal voice is a very important part of this inquiry.
True; especially so when you consider the police have an army of lawyers deflecting any criticism and watching their backs.
Let’s face it the Police screwed up,save some money and give it to the needy !
