They’re Back!

Tuesday, March 13, 2012 @ 4:00 AM
Robin  sits in a tree  in an alley way  south of  3rd Ave

Prince George, B.C.-  They’re back!

After what seems like a long winter, there is probably no more welcomed sight than that of a robin.

This little fellow was spotted in a tree in the bowl area of Prince George, just off 3rd Avenue on Sunday.

He wasn’t alone, as there were a couple of other red breasted buddies in the same tree.

Spring doesn’t officially arrive in Prince George until 10:14 p.m. on March 19th, but the return of the robin is confirmation the new season is just days away.

What? It seemed like a long winter?

Hmmm… it didn’t seem like that to me.

Ohhhhhh wait a minute, I live in the Okanagan now… YES!

But I will have to concede, that I do *gulp* miss the beautiful blue-sky cold winter days in PG where you can see the “crystals” sparkling in the sun.

*sigh*

Poor robin is going freeze it’s arse off.

Hope he packed his toque before heading north.

Lived there first twenty five years of my life,
lived in PG on the Hart little better then thirty-nine years.Looking north right now I see only blue, come july you will see lots of blue,,,,but it will be mostly smoke!

Good to see a sign of spring.

Double digits would be nice. I’d even settle for 9.

I agree with acidrider and metalman. I bet we get one more kick of winter.
Okay, so now we can start watching for hummingbirds. MIL kept a diary, she saw them in mid April.
