Men Push for Gold, Women Hope for Bronze

Prince George, B.C.- Day two of the National Basketball championships will see the UNBC Timberwolves Men move on to the semi finals as they downed red Deer College in their opening game at the National Championships in Truro Nova Scotia.
Leading the way for the Timberwolves was player of the game Jose Araujo with 20 points (4-9 from the 3pt line). Charles Barton added 15 points and 7 rebounds.
The men play at 2 p.m. PST today against Mohawk College.
Meantime, the UNBC womens basketball Timberwolves fell to a tough Algonquin team in the CCAA quarterfinals by a score of 74-62 in Lethbridge.
The women will now try to work their way through the bronze medal draw. They will play the host Lethbridge Kodiaks at 2pm PST.
