Men’s And Women’s Timberwolves Seeking Bronze

Prince George, B.C. – The best the UNBC Timberwolves men’s and women’s basketball teams can hope for at their respective national championship tournaments will be a third-place finish.
Both teams sport 1 and 1 records and are now in battles to make it to the bronze medal game.
After opening with a victory Thursday the men dropped a 78-71 decision to Mohawk College in the semis. They face St. Thomas University at 6 Saturday morning, with the winner going to the third-place game in Truro, Nova Scotia.
At the CCAA women’s nationals in Lethbridge, the Timberwolves beat the host team 74-67 to turn things around after an opening day loss. UNBC plays at 9 Saturday morning with the winner moving on to the third-place game.
