Prince George, B.C.- A chimney fire  at a home on Rustad Road early this morning resulted in  damage to the  chmney and roof trusses.

Firefighters were called to the home just after 3:20 this morning. Sixteen Firefighters from 3 stations arrived to find a single storey home with smoke coming from all sides of an attached masonry chimney. Smoke was also found throughout the house. The residents had all managed to get out safely.

Fire crews quickly determined the fire was limited to the chimney and the immediately adjacent roof trusses. All items were removed or protected with covers while the fire was extinguished.
