Autopsy Needed To Pinpoint Exact Cause Of Quesnel Teen’s Death
Quesnel, BC – Family and friends are grieving after the death of a 15-year-old boy in Quesnel on Good Friday…
RCMP Media Relations Officer, Constable Krista Vrolyk, says police are working with the community to ensure Victim Services are made available to anyone in need of grief counselling support.
Police officers were called to a home in the 400-block of Baker Drive shortly at 2pm Friday afternoon, after the teen was found unresponsive. He was pronounced dead at the scene and a preliminary investigation by members of the RCMP General Investigation Section and BC Coroner’s Service has determined that drugs appear to have been a factor in the death.
An autopsy is scheduled for later this week to confirm the cause. Constable Vrolyk says foul play is not suspected in the tragedy.
The victim’s identity is not being released at this time.
