Teens Target Teens in Robberies

Monday, April 9, 2012 @ 1:43 PM
Prince George, B.C.- A group of young teens is suspected of being responsible for two robberies last evening.

Just before  9:30 last evening, officers responded to a report of a robbery near the corner of Pine Street and 20th Avenue in Prince George. Two young females aged 16 and 11, were approached by about five youths who demanded money. A suspect female searched the two victims for money but was unsuccessful. The female stole a purple LG brand cell phone and the suspects fled. One of the victims was assaulted and threats were made towards both victims.

A suspect female was described as:

·       First Nations
·       15 to 17 years old
·       Approximately 160 cm (5’3") and 54 kgs (120 lbs)
·       Wearing a white athletic jacket with black stripes on sleeves

A suspect male was described as:

·       First Nations
·       15 to 17 years old
·       Approximately 175 cm (5’9") and 73 kgs (160 lbs)
·       Wearing a baggy red sweater with hood, blue jeans, red shoes and a ball cap with red brim
Police patrols of the area failed to turn up anything.

About an hour later, police were called to Porter Avenue and Oak Street for another robbery report. This location is about 2 blocks from the first reported robbery.

This time, the victims were a male and female, both aged 18. They say they had been robbed by a trio of thin First Nations female youth in the parking lot near 15th Avenue and Victoria Street. One of the youths asked for a cigarette. The victims advised they did not smoke and continued away on foot. Later, the two victims were confronted by the same three females near the corner of Porter Avenue and Oak Street. This time, one of the females had a rock in her hand and demanded the purse belonging to the female victim. Shortly after, one of the suspects attempted to grab the purse. The male victim stepped in to prevent the theft and the two victims ran away, calling police shortly after.

All three females were described as:

·         First Nations
·         Thin build
·         13 to 15 years old
·         Wearing dark clothing

Again, police patrols of the area failed to turn up any sign of the suspects.

Given the close time frame, similar location and similarities in the descriptions of the suspects, police believe the same group of youths could be responsible for these two Attempted Robberies.

None of the four victims was seriously hurt.

Police are urging members of the public, especially youth, to exercise caution when out on foot at night:

·       Be aware of your surroundings
·       Travel in groups whenever possible
·       Travel in well lit areas
·       Avoid taking valuables
·       Report suspicious activity to police

Anyone with information  about these crimes is asked to contact the Prince George RCMP at (250)561-3300 or anonymously contact Crime Stoppers at 1(800)222-TIPS (8477), online at www.pgcrimestoppers.bc.ca, or Text-A-Tip to CRIMES (274637) using keyword "pgtips".

first nations? is that actually a race?

Send them back to the reserve!

“first nations? is that actually a race?”

They aren’t allowed to say the “I” word.

Hopefully they can track the phones GPS.

Get them off the reserve and quit entitling them! People who work hard for everything they own do not steal off of other people because they understand value. The entitled ones will always be an issue because they think society owes them.

If I keep my nose clean I won’t be described by the police as a “Second Nation” individual.

My favorite is Non White. Not quite sure what it means.

I had an RCMP ask me if I was a racist because I called a 1st Nations person a Native in describing a theft once. I said next time I’ll take a picture and then you can tell me if I’m racist or not.

Heeling circles will do wonders

Crack head hood rats, seem to have rotten, thieving, hood rat kids. Face it, it’s a disgusting little town. Drunk, drugged out, loser junkies stealing from anyone and everyone. Its the Prince George way! It what makes us
Number 1 on that McLeans Magazine poll!

They can’t prove they where here first, so I object to “First Nation” we are the same , no First or Second or whatever

Don’t go all crazy Ocean Witch! You know it is always the 10% that stick out, not the 90% of law abiding citizens. Very sad that our justice system has no teeth to deal with the problem.

We have “one day in jail and eighteen months probation”. That’s how we deal with it. Carry on.
