Prince George, BC.–The Prince George Exhibition will be celebrating it’s 100th Anniversary this year, and part of the celebrations will include a Legacy Banquet.
The Banquet is set for the 9th of August during the PGX. What is needed to make it a success, it to track down the past Presidents and Board members who served on the Prince George Agricultural and Historical Association.
“Past presidents and board members are invited to attend as our guests” says President Nancy Loreth, “it is the current Board’s way of thanking and recognizing the contribution of these intrepid and consummate volunteers. This organization would not be celebrating a century without them; they are the real secret to our longevity”.
“Past managers are included as they have been the glue that ‘holds it all together’, over these past many decades” she adds.
The invitation to attend the banquet is being extended to anyone who has served on the Board, or has a partner, parent, grand parent or great grandparent who has served. Those who think they have a “link” should contact the PGX General Office at 250-563-4096.
Centennial Celebrations will also see the public unveiling of a special mural, and the publishing of the PGX’s history book. There will also be a Centennial Exhibit at the fairgrounds during the 2012 Ex which is slated for August 8th through 12th.

That sure would have looked good if the city had tore down the rodeo grounds for the arena just before It`s centennial anniversary.
