The remains were discovered yesterday afternoon around 1:00, by a family searching for their missing dog.
(at right, investigators prepare to access scene of discovery)
RCMP have yet to release any further information on the discovery and there has been no word on the possible identity, if foul play is suspected or how long police believe the remains may have been at this site.
While it is not yet known if the remains are those of a known missing persons case or one that had yet to be reported, there are several active missing persons files in the area.
· Natasha Lyn Montgomery was last seen in August of 2010 and although her remains have not been found, a man (Cody Legebokoff) has been charged in connection with her death.
· Also missing is a 28 year old man from Burns Lake. Perry Sebastian was last seen in December but friends have indicated he may have headed to Prince George.
· Police also recently issued a plea for information that would lead to the body of Fribjon Bjornson. His partial remains were discovered in a vacant property in Fort St. James in February, about three weeks after he had been reported missing.
· There is the historic missing persons case of Lucas Degerness. He was just 14 when last seen in Prince George in June of 2007.
The area has been cordoned off by police and secured for investigators. Prince George RCMP Media Liaison, Corporal Craig Douglass has indicated there may be further information made available today.

I remember way back when I was a kid about 30-years back they found a body in that pull out just near Blue Rock… turned out it was a young lady picked up at the bar… not sure if they ever found her killer or not, but I don’t think they ever did as people were really worried about that one for a long time, it was a really sad case… I remember being a little creeped out after that hiking up Cranbrook Hill… I think some people wondered if it had anything to do with the hermit that had a fort like house at the base of 5th Avenue on the hill, so the fire department came one day and they burnt his house down, they said as a precaution so he would move along.
They missed one on their list of active missing person files in the area. That’s ok though because I don’t even want to consider the possibility. :( its sad that there’s a list at all! What is wrong with people?
