Mackenzie, B.C. – The pilot of a small plane and his lone passenger had a brush with disaster over the lunch hour when their small plane flipped and crashed at the Mackenzie District Airport.
RCMP say the bushplane was making a landing around noon, when it appears a gust of wind caught the plane just as it was about to connect with the runway.
One wing clipped the runway, the plane then crashed into a fence before flipping.
The two on board walked away with no injuries.
The Transporation Safety Board is now in charge of the investigation.
