Run For Rural Medicine Goes Today

Prince George, B.C. – The 7th annual Run for Rural Medicine hits the road in Prince George today.
The run is organized by the second year class of the Northern Medical Program, with proceeds going to the Spirit of the North Foundation’s Senior Wellness Fund. It provides money for outings and equipment to spark the lives of residents at the Gateway, Parkside and Jubilee Lodge seniors facilities. Most of the money raised comes through registration fees but donations are accepted as well.
There are courses for every level of participation, from “tot walks” to a 21 kilometre marathon. You bite off as much as you can chew (and figure out new ways to traverse potholes along the way).
Those wishing to take part in the run are asked to be at the Hart Community Centre on West Austin Road by 8:20 this morning to register. The run begins at 9:00.
