Police Search for 2 in Connection with Kidnapping and Assault Case

Prince George, B.C. – Two men are custody and Police are searching for two others in connection with a report of a kidnapping and assault on the weekend.
 
On Sunday evening, April 15th, Prince George RCMP received a report of kidnapping and assault in a rural area east of Prince George.
 
A number of RCMP officers attended the Ferndale area and located an adult male victim suffering from serious, but non-life threatening injuries. The man was transported by the BC Ambulance Service to the University Hospital of Northern BC for treatment.
 
It is believed the victim was being held for a number of days in a residence in the rural community. The Prince George RCMP’s Serious Crime Section was called into assist with the investigation. 
 
Officers attended the residence located on Upper Fraser Road and arrested a 32 year old male without incident. While searching the residence for other suspects and victims, a small marihuana grow operation was located along with stolen property. Search warrants were obtained. 
 
A second suspect, a 35 year old adult male, was arrested without incident on Monday April 16th at approximately 12:00 (noon).
 

Two other adult male suspects have been identified as suspects in this investigation and are currently at large. Police are actively searching for:

·       24 years old
·       168 cm (5’6")
·       64 kgs (140 lbs)
·       Green eyes
·       Short brown hair 
Dillan Meerholz (at right, bottom)
·       22 years old
·       180 cm (5’11")
·       82 kgs (180 lbs)
·       Green eyes
·       Short blonde hair
 
Locating these two suspects is a priority for investigators.
 
Investigators will be recommending the following charges to Crown Counsel:
 
·       Kidnapping
·       Forcible Confinement
·       Assault Causing Bodily Harm
·       Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
·       Production of a Controlled Substance

        

Investigators believe these serious offences are drug related and targeted. All four suspects are known to police, however investigators do not believe there is any risk to the  public.
 
This investigation is on-going.
