Prince George- Two men wanted in connection with a kidnapping in the Ferndale area have turned themselves in.
Police say Francois and Dillan Meerholz walked into the Prince George RCMP front counter last night . They are scheduled to appear in court today.
They were arrested in connection with an alleged kidnapping that took place on a rural Ferndale property.
A 32 year old man walked into the community hall on the weekend, pleading for assistance. He said he had escaped after being held for about a week. He was taken to hospital.
Francois Meerholz is the subject of a deportation order. He was ordered deported to his native South Africa last spring, but South Africa refused to accept him.
He also faces a further string of charges unrelated to this past weekend’s incident.

Didn’t this guy tell immigration that he turned his life around so they wouldn’t deport him? I guess he failed to mention that he turned his life around from drugs to kidnapping.
What is it going to take to get rid of this guy?
Why is this scum still in our country. Nothing but a crackhead, he should be in a federal prison if his own country won’t take him. I would send him to prison for the next 60 years if I could. Steve is supposed to be getting mandatory minimum sentences for these kind of animals. What’s up with that?
This creep has been involved in this stuff for all his time here. And nobody will do anything about it. I hope that harper can get these supermax prisons built up SOON and get this program into gear. Or is this just a myth that these places are being built? Scum like this deserve to be locked in one of them for the rest of there sick lives. And I would argue that most people would be very happy to pay more tax just to pay for it. Hello Steve……….Are you there? We need you.;
I for one am not happy to pay taxes to a piece of criminal scum that wasn’t born here. Send him back already!
LOL What a joke!
“Francois Meerholz is the subject of a deportation order. He was ordered deported to his native South Africa last spring, but South Africa refused to accept him.”
South Africa doesn’t want him and neither do we. Hmmm what to do.

Give him a parachute and drop him off somewhere in Somalia?
Meerholz did not obtain his Canadian citizenship and is still a citizen of South Africa, put him on a plane whether they want him of not.
If Canada has to accept Omar Khadr back to this country South Africa will just have to suck it up. I’m sure he will find the jails quite different than what he is used to.
Its simple – let him go free and quietly put the word on the street that he was released because he gave up information on other gang members. Let his own people “take care of it”
At least thats how it works in the movies ;-)
He was allowed to stay because of the information he was giving to help put other gang members away. Now that he’s given all the ones he knows up, his money is drying out forcing him back into the lifestyle he’s custom to living. The government is a joke, lets keep some prolific offender around who will go terrorize the streets again in order to get a few gangsters off the streets. Harper this all starts with you and runs to the bottom. YOU ARE A JOKE

Like I said before. Put him in a leaky boat and give him a paddle and send him on his way. This really exploits the weakness of our justice system.
Fly him (in handcuffs) and an RCMP officer to a country that has a border with South Africa. Hire a taxi. Drive the Meerholz within easy walking distance of the border. Take his handcuffs off and shove him out of the car.
Problem solved. A pride of hungry lions may appreciate a free meal.
That would be a cruel thing to do to the poor lions!
Oh My Stars. We haven’t rid ourselves of these two yet? Yeesh, I am a naturally-born Citizen and if I screwed the pooch I’d be looking at years of jail… Must be nice to be either aboriginal or alien.
Typical of canadian immigration screw-ups.
If someone is ordered deported…they go, on the next plane out!
Now they can cuff the 2 of em together and send em packing after they get out of club fed..
That Dillion guy is pure evil. He threatened to ‘shank’ my 14-year old cousin on facebook. I seen this on the home page and looked into him to find out he was ten years older than her… told him to back off, and he threatened he would kill me if I didn’t mind my own business… he sent a string of threats for about a month. The guy is a complete loose cannon with some of the most evil and vile things to say anyone could possibly imagine. Comes from growing up in South Africa and living homeless in Canada I guess? My brother in law cornered him one day and put a scare into him (he’s not tough on his own)… but my cousin moved out of province with her mom as her mom didn’t want her in the same city as that creep.
Dillion should have been deported with his younger brother last time around. The longer he is around the more likely we are to have another Cody Leboknoff situation IMO.
