Prince George, B.C. – Drive B.C. says it may now be  noon before a stretch of highway 16 west near McBride Timber Road is reopened.
Two chips trucks were involved in what is termed a head-on side swipe, early this morning leaving one driver with serious injuries. He has been taken to hospital and is being assessed.
RCMP are on the scene, but it will be a while yet before they complete their on- scene investigation and before the vehicles will be removed and the highway cleaned up.
There is no alternate route.

Time to start to 4 lane this road with a concrete medium in the middle.

I think just widen the road by three feet and make a three foot centerline… it would save a half dozen lives a year for sure in these parts. So little room for error especially if a vehicle zigs when the other zags from turbulence or what not. We could widen all the highways in northern BC by three feet for a mere fraction of the cost to four lane the highway.

Lomak driver is lucky to be alive.

I heard his kids in the hospital and he hasn’t been getting much sleep the last week or so… rumor is he fell asleep.

Good looking trucker girl from Vanderhoof that drives that blue lease op in the picture pulling the Excel 53′ rental trailer… she could probably give the guys some lessons on how to keep a truck on the road by the looks of it. lol

Isn’t that nice. An Excel driver spreading rumours about a Lomak driver!

Wow the Dragonmaster knows everything.

Why not use a Pilot Car to move the Traffic ,this is not to much to ask, some have Medical Appointments and waiting for 3 Month and longer, use your Head and make it possible .

Please enlighten me as to what you mean by that comment wrinkledog.

Dragonmaster your comment makes no sense. Pure speculation on your part.
