Conservatives Sweep To Power Again In Alberta

Monday, April 23, 2012 @ 8:20 PM
Edmonton- In what was expected to be a c lose race, it was anything but in Alberta as the ruling Conservatives rolled over the new Wild Rose Party to regain power.
The Conservatives had a clear majority with 60 seats to the Wild Rose who captured 19.
The NDP holds four seats.
Up until voting day it had been expected that Wild Rose would make some serious inroads in Alberta politics. It failed to happen. With between 18 and 20 % of the voters undecided a couple of days ago, they voted to keep the same old.
