TD Makes Donation to Lakeland Fund
Prince George, B.C.- Another bank has made a donation to the Lakeland Mills Fire Assistance Fund.
TD has announced it is donating $10,000 to the Prince George Community Foundation’s Lakeland Fire Assistance Fund to help those affected by the tragic explosion and fire on April 23rd.
"We were saddened when we learned about the explosion at the Lakeland Mills sawmill and how the accident has affected so many people in Prince George," said Jane Russell, Senior Vice President, TD Canada Trust, Pacific Region. "We are committed to helping the community and our affected customers at this time and we hope this donation will provide the Foundation with funding to help those in need."
TD may also defer mortgage and personal loan payments for affected customers, based on their individual financial circumstances. Customers who have been affected by the Lakeland Mill fire are encouraged to contact their local TD branch.
Earlier this week, the Royal Bank donated $15,000. to the cause.
