Second Body Recovered From Willow River Jet Boat Mishap

Swift  Water Rescuers head to the site where the second body was located
Willow River, B.C.- A second body has been recovered from a large log jam on the Willow River east of Prince George.
Two women were amongst a group of four, a father his son and the two women who were Jet Boating on the Willow River yesterday afternoon at about 2.30pm when  the boat ,while crossing some shallow water, picked up gravel in the intake, making the jet inoperable .
The boat then drifted back into a large log jam where it rolled over in the current. The man and his son were able to get clear of the boat, the two women were lost in the fast flowing river.
The first woman’s body was recovered  late last night,  the  second body was recovered today with the efforts of people "who went beyond the call of duty" according to Corporal Craig Douglass of the RCMP.
The identity of the two women is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

Horrible news to hear. Thoughts go out to the victims and families, not to forget all those involved in the search and rescue.
