More Unemployed in P.G. Last Month

Prince George, B.C.- The unemployment rate in Prince George rose last month to 7.2%, up from the 5.8% mark recorded in April of last year.
The climb was also a noticeable one in the Cariboo where the rate last month was 7.7%, up from 7.1 for the same month a year ago.
Provincially, the rate dropped to 6.2%, from the 7.8% recorded in April of 2011.
Nationally, the rate sat at 7.3% last month, up from the 6.1% recorded in April of 2011.
